I'm from Hayward, CA, and I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology (minor in Sociology) from UC San Diego. During my undergraduate career, I became passionate about working with students and promoting social justice within education. I previously served as an intern for the Career Services Center, an orientation leader, a resident advisor, TRiO-ETS college advisor, TRiO Upward Bound SRP Internship Coordinator. When I returned to the Bay Area, I continued to immerse myself in the education and nonprofit sector, always striving to promote higher education and career exploration to students from underserved communities. I ultimately pursued my Master's in Counseling at San Francisco State University with a specialization in School Counseling and an emphasis in College Counseling.
As a counselor, I see myself as an agent of change, working to empower students and close the achievement gap. I strive to support my students in reaching their goals and believe that all students can be successful.
I've been a counselor at San Lorenzo High School since 2017 and serve students with last names A-D. I'm available to my students and their families during drop in hours or by appointment. I also serve as Co-Advisor for the Class of 2021 and the TUPE Site Coordinator.
