This is where you will turn in your completed Personal Growth Slideshow. It is part of the final for semester 1, so this is not an assignment that you want to skip doing! Here are the instructions for all of the slides that we have worked on throughout the semester, plus the instructions for the final 2 slides (slides 5&6):

Slide 1: Your full name and pictures Pictures can be of your hobbies, interests, culture, favorite school subject, sports, or actual pictures of yourself that you have emailed to your school account from your phone or home device. (should have at least 5 images)

-AT LEAST 2 ways you learn best
-AT LEAST 1 thing you may have trouble with
-AT LEAST 1 thing you need to work on to be a more successful learner
Choose the things from the list you MOST think are true. If you do not agree with ANY of the things on the list and you feel that they don't describe you, include a sentence or two explaining why you think this assessment of your learning style was NOT accurate.
Include at least one image that goes along with your learning style (can be the fruit, or something else that reflects your learning style)

Slide 4: On slide #4, you will talk about your academic journey. What you will include on this slide is:

*What elementary school did you go to? Include a photo of the mascot, if you can. List 1-2 successes that you had in elementary school (Some possible things to think about--Did you do well in classes and get good grades? Did you make friends that you still are friends with now? Did you discover a sport or hobby or club that you really like). Also list 1-2 struggles that you had in elementary school as well. Slide 5: -Write 2-3 bullet points summarizing how you have felt about your first semester of high school. You can reference academics and social things. You can talk about what went well and what you need to improve on. You can reference your goals and whether or not you met them. Try not two write TOO much. Just keep it to the main points. Include at least one image that goes along with your reflection

Slide 6: -Create three new Growth Mindset Goals for 2nd semester. These can be brand new goals or goals that build off your 1st semester goals. Include at least one image that goes along with your goals.

Extra Credit Assignment--Story/Film Comparison Mini Essay

Watch one of these videos of the stories we have read. Then, fill out the Comparison Essay form in the google doc.

Take your time and do the best you can. It is possible to earn 20 extra credit points, but, if this is not your best work, you may not get them all. It would be a shame to do the work and not earn the total points. Grammar matters. Spelling matters. Effort matters. This should not be a difficult task.

*Note--If you already completed this over Thanksgiving break, you cannot complete it again. If you did this already and want extra credit, you must do the Happiness project!
