Practice for the new ratios. This is important stuff for future math classes, so I hope you will apply yourself! Make sure you add the notes to your notebook so you can use them to help you.

Complete the practice of finding missing pieces of right triangles using SIN, COS, TAN, AND SIN and inverse SIN, inverse COS, and inverse TAN. There are linked videos if you need help remembering how to solve these. They use
TAN, but the same process applies to the other two.

This reviews what we have done in this mini-unit on Trigonometry. Try your best and ask questions when you are stuck.

Here are some problems to solve using tangent and inverse tangent. There are two videos linked to the document to help you if you are not sure how to solve these. Draw pictures to visualize the problem. Use a TAN or inverse TAN equation to set up the problem and solve.

Please complete the worksheet for today. These introduce the other two ratios from a right triangle. This is similar to the tangent work, just using different sides for the ratios.

By the time you complete this worksheet, you should know what the slope ratios for an 18 degree line and an 11 degree line. You should also be able to reason what the slope ratio for a 72 degree line and a 79 degree line would be.

Today we will be looking at two particular slope ratios for two different slope angles, 18 degrees and 11 degrees. Make sure to ask questions if you are confused or not sure what you are being asked to do.

Today's goal is to make sure you are able to find the slope ratios in right triangles.

To find the slope ratio, you look at the two sides that make up the right angle. Depending on the slope angle you are using (there are two slope angles in a right triangle - the two angles that are NOT the right angle), one is the rise (opposite side), and one is the run (adjacent side). I am posting a short video talking about slope ratio below.

Please add these notes about the sides of right triangles to your notebook. Then complete the worksheet, Identifying Parts of Right Triangles in order to demonstrate your understanding.

We had started to talk about vertical angles and their relationship before we left. Your goal for today is to understand what a vertical angle is and what is true about all pairs of vertical angles.

Using our previous discussions of parallel lines cut by a transversal, solidify the angle relationships created in this situation. You should understand corresponding angles, alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, and vertical angles, and the relationships between them.
