Due:
Hi Modelers! Since there was no Monday this week, I called it Day 2. Several of you seem to have questions, so I will set up a Zoom for 11:00 this morning and can be available from 12:30 to 4:00 to answer any questions. I would love to clarify for you, so please drop in, if only to get your questions answered!
Due:
Here is the work for today. We have solved systems before, so if you are stuck, look in your previous work. Also, don't be afraid to ask me to help you!
Also, I hope you are well on your way to completing the Khan Academy assignments (with reasonable success!).
Also, I hope you are well on your way to completing the Khan Academy assignments (with reasonable success!).
Due:
Use the stated method to solve the quadratics. If you need help remembering, you have resources in Khan Academy and on the website we used earlier last week.
Due:
Hey y'all! I hope you had an opportunity to enjoy some 'you' time ! It was a lovely weekend, weatherwise!
Due:
Hey all, please check in for today (even if it is not still Wednesday). I am available after noon for help if you have questions. Please send Remind and I can set up a time to meet with you.
Due:
Hey! Check in, and don't forget our meeting at 11:30!
Due:
Check in please, ideally before 3:00 pm! Take some time for yourself this weekend!
Due:
Here is the guiding worksheet for today. I am also attaching a table that has resources from Khan Academy in the event you are really stuck. (you should also feel free to reach out to me)
Due:
Log in to your Khan Academy account to see the Quadratic work which has been assigned. Take time to do these and report back at the end of the week, or early next week. Complete the questions and submit. If you want to see how we laid it out, look at the document attached to yesterday's assignment.
Due:
Please check in. I am also attaching a draft of the work for the next week to 8 days. I will assign each day, but this will give you an idea about what you need to make sure you understand before the end.
Due:
Please check in for today. Determine how you will complete the Khan Academy assignment and be ready to share your plan.
Due:
Good morning! We will begin solving for angles this week. There is a short video showing how to do this, made by Ms. Lydon, who teaches MM at AHS. Then there is a worksheet for you to practice with, and a video that goes through many of the problems step by step if you are having trouble. Lastly, tell me how the work went , complete the two check-out problems, include photos of your work for both the worksheet and the check-out and submit the assignment.
Due:
Complete the worksheet and make sure to insert photos of your work. There is a video to describe what is needed if you want to watch it. You should come away understanding when to solve, when to simplify, and when to evaluate based on how the problem is presented.
Due:
Work on this practice for identifying and completing the three types of problems shown. There is a link to a video if you want to see how to do each type of problem.
Due:
Write in your journal the process that you can use to find unknown side of a right triangle and how that
differs in process from finding the length of an unknown hypotenuse. If you need to also include the process
for evaluating, simplifying, or solving in your journal, you should :-)
Watch the video to learn how to use Desmos to capture your inverse trig computations:

Due:
Yes, please do check in! I hope your APs are going well, for those of you who have them!
Due:
Please check in today! We will be shifting into Quadratic Equations next week.
Due:
Please check in today! I did change the due date for check-ins so I can complete my attendance report Friday.
Due:
Sorry this is late, please complete as you are able.
Due:
Hey folks! Check in and then look for your assignment. Ask questions if you need to and stay safe!
Due:
Click on the link below to start the game. You may want your notes on Special Rights in front of you to help!
Due:
Hey all, your health is very important to me. Please, please at least let me know you are doing ok, even if you are not able to do any work! I want to know you are safe - some of you I haven't heard from and it will make me less worried if you at least check in!
Due:
Complete the worksheets and answer the questions on the attached sheet. As usual, insert a photo of your work before you submit.
Due:
See the attached, watch the video if you need to, and answer the questions. Be ready to show your mastery tomorrow!
Due:
Please check in, then find your assignment for today.
Due:
Have your journal and your calculator out to complete this check out!
Due:
See the attached. Watch the videos, do the practice problems on the referenced worksheet, and submit to me your experience in working with radicals.
Due:
Watch the linked videos, respond to the reflection questions, and submit your response.
Due:
See the attached document for resources to watch and interact with. There is a worksheet for you to practice with. Finally, there are two problems on the attached document to answer, along with a reflection of your work today.
Due:
Use the link to find the practice document. Complete it on separate paper. Then do the two problems on this document, reflect on your work for Pythagorean Theorem and paste a copy of your work in the attached document.
Due:
We have just finished our fourth week of SIP (Shelter in Place). What have you learned about yourself? What have you noticed about your ability to complete work? How might you make some adjustments so you can better manage your responsibilities?
Due:
Watch the demonstration video attached. It will show you how to find the line of best fit using Desmos. Then complete Worksheet B and return it to me. Practice calculating a linear equation by hand using the coordinates of 2 points, then use the linear regression capability of Desmos to check your accuracy.
Due:
Complete this worksheet; you do not need to print it nor will you turn it in. If you have not done the Khan Academy work, you should likely do that first so you understand what is being asked of you. As always, let me know if you have questions. You DO need to send me an email describing and summarizing your learning: what you did well, what you need work on, etc. USE MATHEMATICAL VOCABULARY!
Due:
Complete the Desmos Line of Best Fit Activity. This will help you identify the line of best fit using the m and b values with sliders. You are also expected to be able to use your equation to calculate and predict values that are solutions of the linear equation. Please send me an email or message summarizing the activity and your learning.
Due:
Use this document to paste photos of your classwork from the packet and submit it.
Due:
How have you been handling the shelter in place period these last three weeks? What have you done to take care of yourself? What have you been doing during what were normal school days? Did you complete any of the assigned work? Why or why not? Please use complete sentences and respond with AT LEAST three sentences.
Due:
See the cover page. You should complete your work on a separate sheet of paper. I will post some graph paper options in classroom or you can tear our a page from your journal.
Due:
Be sure to read the directions completely! There is a wealth of information there you can use. I would like to see you have your 7 card mock up by Tuesday, so you may begin with the 13 card deck. You will need to have me verify your 13 card deck works before I will give you index cards on which you may do your final product. Text me, email me, let's do this!
Remember, only ONE symbol from any card may match ONE symbol from any other card! Two symbols matching won't work!
