Optional Final Assignment in Google Classroom

Optional Final Assignment

The assignment will have three options:

1) Write an essay (no length requirement) about how AP Physics went for you. You can consider what was successful about the class for you and ways it can be improved.

2) Write an essay (no length requirement) about your thoughts on distance learning and how COVID-19 is affecting you and your family. Questions that may help you are: Do you feel safe returning to classrooms in the fall? Do you think you are adequately supported by schools, local government, state government, etc? Have your plans for next year changed?

3) Make a college level slideshow explaining/teaching a physics/science topic that we did not do in class. This option is good for college bound students because you will practice researching online and citing resources. If colleges are distance learning next year this will be an important skill. I have attached some potential topic ideas.

Submit as a google doc or google slideshow. Let me know if you have questions.

Lesson Plan 4/27-5/15 in Google Classroom

Lesson Plan 4/27-5/15

Here we are, the final stretch to the AP Exam! I am very proud of how hard you have worked especially given the current shutdown. The following lesson plan shows the work to be completed by the AP Exam (5/14). We will have a full length (50 min) exam every Friday at 2 pm during our class meeting. Attendance is mandatory and if you cannot make it you must reach out to me before the meeting. Failure to do so results in a zero for the exam. Monday meetings at 12 pm are optional and you should attend if you have questions. There will be no required meetings during the week of the AP Exam to respect those that may be taking an exam on one of those days. I will hold a meeting on Monday 5/11 at 12 pm and you can schedule another meeting with me if you want. As always, feel free to contact me through Remind or email ([email protected]).
