My Personal Creed: Last Step in Google Classroom

My Personal Creed: Last Step

Hello all,

This is the last assignment of the year. The document has two parts, 5A and 5B. 5A is a the smaller assignment but requires you to think about the meaning of life. 5B asks you to put everything together in a My Personal Creed Statement. This part is planning and then writing a personal creed statement. This will take some time, so make sure to get started soon.

I have included examples of introductory paragraphs for you. Each of the paragraphs on this example page the same thesis but uses a different style of hook or connection to the reader. They are clearly not for this prompt. They are just to give you some common style ideas for intro paragraphs.

I look forward to hearing more about what you stand for because you are awesome!

What are some of the values of the Black Panthers? What can you learn from them? in Google Classroom

What are some of the values of the Black Panthers? What can you learn from them?

Visit the Black Panther virtual exhibit from the Oakland Museum. Watch some of the videos and explore the exhibit. Unfortunately, the Resources page has a lot of broken links, but the reading list is still there, if you are interested. I am contacting the Museum to see if they can restore the links.
Consider the values that the Black Panthers declared for themselves. Consider what the Black Panthers did to support their values. Consider how the Black Panthers were portrayed by the press. Remember people are complicated and think about the story from multiple viewpoints.

Hi everyone,
I need to know who wants to attend the virtual field trip to the Contemporary Jewish Museum on Friday. Since this would be with real people leading the trip, it important to be respectful. If you decide you want to go, it is a commitment on your part. If there is interest, I will work through the some technical difficulties I am having. If not, then I'll just cancel.
I need your answer by Wednesday at noon.

Your Resume in Google Classroom

Your Resume

Use the template resume and create a resume for yourself. Write about yourself in a positive light, remember though, you must be truthful on your resume. If you work, for family or other employer, include start and end dates and the types of duties you had to perform. Include activities and responsibilities that you have successfully completed while in high school. Awards, honor roll, clubs, sports, officer position in clubs, big academic projects or presentations can all be included. Additionally, jobs or responsibilities you have in your community and family might be of interest to an employer. For example, if you babysit or are responsible for childcare for your family or a neighbor an employer might think you are trustworthy and responsible. Speaking languages besides English are talents you should include. Are you in a band, dance lessons or performance? Do you paint or draw comics? Do you volunteer at your church or temple? Anything that shows you put in more than the minimum looks good on a resume. For your objective, use one of the job listings as the focus.
