Hi,
There doesn't seem to be a way for me to collect the paper packets you completed. So, I turned most of the Night Packet into questions on some forms. This is the first one. The titles should match the headings in your packets. There are more to come. You can work on completing them at your own pace. I will check your answers as you go and give you feedback.
I am looking to see that you understand:
1. the content of the book
2. the author's craft
3. the bigger themes
4. how to write context and commentary
Note: not every skill is needed in every question. Pay attention to what is being asked of you in each question. You'll be great.
Please ask questions via class comments or email. If you ask in class comments, others can benefit as well, but email is fine too. I am checking my email at least twice a day at 8:30 am and 3 pm.
Miss you all,
Ms. Spiers

Hello,
I have a schedule you can use for your daily routines if you want. I know for me, I like not having structured time for awhile, but eventually, I feel better with a routine. This one has been circulating around the web and Ms. Makker modified it to share with you all. I'm going to give you each a copy so you can modify it how you want to. Do you like to have a plan, routine, and structure in your days? What does your plan include?

Due:
For this assignment , you are reviewing and analyzing what you have already done. You will then make some choices and add to your writing. Let me know if you get stuck or need help.
Due:
Take a moment to reread your previous entries before you start this assignment. You have had a lot of different influences on your life. This entry is more about the inside you and how your uniqueness has affected your life. You are unique. What qualities do you possess or have? The format is similar to previous entries, but instead of outside influences, you are writing about your own way of being.
Due:
This is the last reflection on outside influences. We all have people in our lives that affect how we see the world. Who are they for you?
Due:
This is continuing your thinking about what has made you who you are. Again, this assignment is similar to 1A , but not exactly the same. Please read the instructions and turn the assignment in here. The focus is on things you have done, things that have happened to you, and activities you participate in. Open the document in a new tab to type right on it.
Due:
You have until the end of the day Thursday. Retakes are okay.

This assignment is similar to 1A , but not exactly the same. Please read the instructions and turn the assignment in here. The focus is on what other people see and think about you. Open the document in a new tab to type right on it.
Due:
The project is divided into 6 main steps. Step 1 has several parts: 1A, 1B, 1C,etc. Each of these parts has a similar process, but the focus is different in each one: Background Circumstances;Societal Definitions and Roles;Experiences, Events, Activities; Influential and Inspirational People; My Qualities and Traits; My Questions; and Things I Know Are True. I'm giving you these topics now, not because I want you to run ahead and tackle every one today. I want you to know how to focus on each topic separately with the assurance that there is space for everything you want to include. I hope you enjoy doing these reflections. They are thought gathering brain-storms, so try your best, but don't get hung up on details yet. Get your thinking on the document.
Due:
The project overview and my letter are here. The assignments will each have their own post. They will begin with "My Personal Creed" and a numbered step. That way you will know when each assignment is due and whether you have completed it or not. After you have READ the material here, you can "turn in" this assignment. You do not have to do anything with the document.

Hello Young People!
Welcome back from spring break! I hope you got a chance to relax. I spent a lot of time using up old paint to repaint our study/den at home. Zoom chats made me decide it had to be done before resuming school.
We are beginning the next phase of our distance learning. Be sure to check Google classroom daily for assignments. I am putting all of our old assignments under the Archive category to make it easier to find what you need to do.
Today your assignment is to complete Etymology 12 and turn it in by Friday and plan to take the quiz on Wednesday, April 30.
1. You will need to complete the worksheet using the slideshow included here and the Online etymology dictionary https://www.etymonline.com/ This worksheet is how you will study. You will turn it in on the day of your quiz.
2. You will complete the form also attached here with your sentences. This is due on Thursday.
I miss you all. I wish we could be at school together.
