Due:
You have until Thursday night to complete and turn in this test. Take your time. Use your notes. Make sure you do a good job on the extended responses because they are worth half the points on the test. Do not copy anything from the internet or anywhere else - that will get you a zero on the entire test. You are smart, you have studied, you can do it!
During class, you will be put in a team. Ask each other questions and help each other, but do not copy!
Remember, if you close the test without submitting it, all your answers will disappear! You can edit your submission, so always submit and then you can come back later and change it.

Use the Example and the Template attached. For complete assignment directions, read the description below.
The purpose of this project is for all of us in this classroom to get to know one another better. It is also a chance for you to get to know yourself better, to become more aware of you own unique perspective of your own history.
Steps to Complete Project:
1) Take blank, regular size piece of paper and fold it so that it forms 3 panels (like a letter you’d mail). Counting front and back, you should have six panels. Or, simply use the digital template provided by Mr. Hake.
2) Create an “About the Author” section on the back panel. To create this panel, you must first take the time to think about who you really are. Not superficially (on the surface), but inside. What are the most important things about you? Write this in your “About the Author” section. Include a self-portrait (drawn or digital).
3) On the third, fourth, and fifth panels, you are going to write about the three most important events that have shaped you as a person, that have molded you into who you are today (first, you will have to think long and hard about who you are today!). This means that you are selecting a total of three important events (besides your birth) from your life.
• For each of these three events, write a narrative (story) describing what happened. Make sure you describe it from start to finish. Pretend that someone who doesn’t know you will be reading your story and trying to understand it. Be sure to include details! Focus on how the event changed you and shaped who you are today.
• Illustrate each event with a small picture.
• You will be have the opportunity to share one of these 4 events with the class (make sure you have one event you are comfortable sharing with everyone). You cannot share the story of your birth. Mr. Hake will not share the contents of your autobiography with anyone.
4) Next, create a cover page on the front panel of your Snapshot Autobiography.
• Give your autobiography a title, for example, “Snapshots from the Life of Ben.”
• Illustrate the cover with a relevant image (hand-drawn or otherwise).
• Include your name, place and date of birth.
5) This leaves one more page, the second page. On this second page, write about your birth. Your birth story should include as many details as possible (date, time, location, weight, etc). You will probably have to get his info from someone else who was present for your birth.
