About Me
I grew up in Southern California, but with good fortune and good instincts, I settled in the amazing Bay Area nearly 15 years ago.
I graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 1999, USC Law School in 2002, and after a few years of travel and soul-searching, I earned my teaching credential from CSU East Bay. I've now been teaching High School for 12 years, and have been at SLz for the last 8 years. I feel blessed to have found my "calling."
I teach Health and Speech & Debate, as a combined year long course for LLC 9th graders. I also teach Health as a semester-long class for BADA 9th graders. I love that I get to help shape the initial experience of high school for so many of our students, and I'm grateful to teach a subject that I think is truly life-changing. One of the great joys of my own life is to have known so many wonderful students who inspire me, challenge me, and fill my heart with admiration.
When I'm not teaching, I love being with my wife and two young children. So, this means I spend most of my free time playing goofy games, helping with crafty art projects, cleaning messes, and singing out of key.
