Mr. Jackson's Teacher Page

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I attended Chico State University and I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from CSU East Bay and my Teaching Credential from Patten University in Oakland. I worked in the private sector for many years, including five years at Newsweek Magazine before returning to college and earning my teaching credential.

I've been teaching in the San Lorenzo USD my whole career. I taught at Bohannon and Arroyo, and I've been at San Lorenzo High since 2011. I enjoy the diversity here from the staff to the students and the community and I love what I do! I teach English 12 (ERWC), Yearbook, and I am the Activities Director, which means I also teach the Leadership class. I also oversee the Credit Recovery Program here at SLz.

When I'm not teaching, you'll most probably find me at home hanging out with my wife and dog. I enjoy reading, working on projects in my garage, and all things sports. I love to travel though, and I spend a lot of time travelling around the country watching my son play hockey.
